it's so hot today, i had to actually turn
on my AC in the car! sheesh! (sorry, i don't mean to rub it in for those
that are feeling the wrath of mother nature's wintery storms...) i've
been doing some serious shopping preparing for this trip. i've gained so
much weight these past few years that none of my shorts fit me anymore!
who the heck carries shorts in february?! well, no one, i found that out
today. so hopefully it's not too warm, and i can just wear my khakis and
capris or something... i should do something about my weight
tho...hahaha (i've been saying that for like 3 years now).

ramblings on about work if you
don't care to hear about my work gibberish, you can skip this entry. i
won't take it personally. ;)
it's really weird working in hmb. it
always seemed like a totally different world, not even remotely a part
of the rest of the bay area. for one thing, you have to drive over this
massive, windy, twisty, mountain road to get there. and all the times
i've gone, it's been a weekend and it's taken well over an hour. but
yet, there's a certain small coastal town charm about it. so with all
this charm, how could there be such evil people?! apparently, the rchc
fought for 30 years to build a hotel in hmb, and finally they won and
voila, rchmb was born. but the locals did not like this idea at all.
they didn't like all the traffic it was creating in their quaint little
town. well, i can understand that, but what about all the extra business
we've brought to all the local businesses? or the hundreds of jobs we've
created for the townspeople? you wanna know how much the city of hmb
hates us? the post office refuses to deliver our mail to us. we have to
go to the post office, drop off our outgoing mail, and pick up incoming
mail. the police? yeah, they regularly station themselves, hidden,
waiting to pull our guests over. even our poor shuttle van driver has
gotten pulled over for not making a complete stop, which i hear is a lie
that the cop made up. then all the passengers got tickets for not having
their seatbelts on. yes, since then i've been buckling up, even tho our
trip is about 0.2 miles. if you ever get pulled over in hmb, don't EVER
say you work for the rchmb, or else for sure they will find 3 things to
ticket you for. sheesh. and the pizza places? yeah, they all refuse to
deliver to our specific location, but they'll deliver to the houses that
are just 50 yards away from us. i just don't understand this hostility.
i understand that ecologically, building a huge golf and spa resort
isn't exactly the best thing for the california coastline, but hello,
what about all the millions of acres being consumed all over our country
by urban sproul?! i'm not saying it's justified, i'm just saying it's
lame that hmb is still holding a grudge, 2 years after the hotel first
opened. *sigh*
normal days, i like my job a lot. the people are
great (for the most part, most of the time), the duties could be better,
but i realize i have to start somewhere, and well, our perks are
fantastic. but days like today, where i am just giddy, well, it makes me
really love my job. :) i promise, i'll tell you all about it after i get
back from hawaii. *whee*
okay, that's all the work talk i can
handle. ;) i'm at home now, work is behind me! just looking forward to a
fabulous weekend. my roommate is surprising her boyfren with a warriors
game for his b-day! not just any warriors game. she invited 15 people to
join him for a thunder birthday bash, where the warrior mascot will
visit the b-day boy and he gets his name lit up on the score board and
lots of fun free stuff and food. :) how sweet, i can't wait to see his
face!! oh! that reminds me!! so after the whole dropping of the
cybershot incident, w took the camera to best buy (thank gawd for
extended warantee). they said it would be ready on 2/16. well, turns out
they had to send it to LA, who had to send it somewhere on the east
coast, and we were really worried we wouldn't have it in time for our
trip (he even bought a 128 MB memory stick just for hawaii!!). well,
it's ready, and it's back, waiting for us. *phew* that was close. so
i'll definitely take it to the game to take pics of his reaction! haha,
should be fun times.

utter chaos at work. i can't wait til
this all blows over... *sigh* will explain later...(privacy issues,
protect the guests, blah blah blah, sorry)
too much going on
right now, can't think straight. very much looking forward to the
weekend. *SIGH*

hmm...i wrote a semi-long post, and now
my blowser "cannot find server." oh well, wasn't that interesting
anyways, just me complaining... :)
i didn't find the 300th
episode of the simpsons all that entertaining. but the 301st, now that
was funny. w was at his house, i at mine, and after the reference to
"requiem for a dream" he called me and said "did you see that?" i
totally did, it was great! i love when i get things! i just think
about all the things i don't get.
what is with all the
michael jackson interviews all of a sudden? how did he become such a
"hot topic?" do we really need to see this much of him?
my mom gave me a bag full of fruit this weekend, when i went to
visit my parents. she gave me a million of these tiny little tangerine
things. they're the size of golf balls, take about 5 minutes to peel,
and about 30 seconds to eat. they're sooooo sweet!! so much work for
such little fruit.
i really need to get the new erasure cd. i
think they do great covers. :)

trader joe's hawaiian salsa flavored potato chips and some trader joe's
crispy crunchy chocolate chip cookies. mmm... *happy*
to all you
folks still using dial-up, i don't know how this will affect your
computer, but i've added some tunes to my blog. it may take a while to
load (w made it as small as he possibly could). for those of you [cool]
people with dsl/cable modem, hope you like the latest addition to my
blog!! i know the sound quality is crap, but i'm working on it. it's
still in beta testing...

i finally made it up to the snow! my
first trip this season, went to sierra at tahoe...wasn't too
bad, except i crashed pretty hard on my butt, and now it hurts to sit or
even lay on my butt-side. :( and i fell on my kness pretty hard. well,
very hard, considering my left knee is swollen and bruised, and i don't
bruise easily. but it was soooo great to be back on my snowboard!!! the
snow was okay, not too packed or icey, but nowhere near as good as last
season. i realized that we were totally spoiled by all the powder last
season. oh well, this will probably be my only trip up this season
anyways, it's getting way to expensive...$53! sheesh.
i'm on my
way soon to play with w's dad's mini schnauzers...they're sooo cute.
will post pics.

the michael jackson interview last night
just further engrained in my mind what a nut job he is. he claims to
have had only 2 plastic surgeries. TWO?! who are you kidding? he is
really scary looking. i think i'd be afraid to go near him if i was a
little kid. what it must be like to have him as a father...yikes. and
then there's that whole thing with the kids sleeping with him in his
bed. wtf?
there was just way too much on tv last night, i may
have to look into getting tivo. but then again, i may never
leave the house.

why do people insist on rubber-necking
past an accident scene on the freeway?! do they not realize they are all
causing a traffic jam, all for nothing? the accident has been cleared to
the shoulder already, the people are out, they're fine, the tow truck is
there ready to tow, so what are they staring at?! don't they have
anything better to do, like go to work? it's a good thing i give
myself extra time to get to work in the morning. grr, i hate stupid
drivers...
so my roommate got me a hello kitty toaster. :) that's
right my friends. it toasts your bread with a little hello kitty face on
it. needless to say, i've been eating a lot of toast this past week.
