as i'm driving down the freeway, going
90, then slowly creeping toward 100, i laugh at myself, realizing this
is a dumb way to dry my car.

sometimes i think i want to tell my
parents about my tattoos. just come out one day and show them. afterall,
what's done is done, what are they gonna do about it now? it would make
things so much easier for me, to not be hiding something like this. i
have even had dreams about my parents finding out (not ending on a happy
note, that's for sure). my mom has almost seen the one on my back,
twice. i love my tattoos, and they hold a lot of meaning to them. but i
don't know that i could convey that to my parents in a way they would
understand. but then again, i think why put them thru that? i'll hide it
for as long as i possibly can, in hopes that they never find out. but if
they should, then there's nothing i can do. and i can only hope that
they can look past the ink and see that i'm still the same me. just with
some added color. :) then sometimes i think that my parents DO know,
they're just not saying anything, either because they're in denial, or
because they're just waiting for me to say something first. i think if
my tattoos were sweet girly images, it would be easier. but having a
rather large black dragon on my back isn't exactly cute and sweet. hmph.

thursday i walked 6.7 miles. friday i
walked 7.8 miles. saturday i worked a half day (well, actually 7 hours)
but only walked about 5 miles. sunday i walked 7.9 miles. and this is
all at work. i have today and tomorrow off, thankfully, cuz my feet are
ready to fall off.

1. How many houses/apartments
have you lived in throughout your life? (1) korea, (2) coalinga, (3
& 4) fresno, (5, 6 7) fremont, (8, 9, 10, 11) in san luis obispo,
(12) avila beach, and (13) here where i am now. hopefully (14) soon...
wow that's a lot.
2. Which was your favorite and why? hmm...i
guess my studio apt in avila beach my last year of school, which was
just a block from the beach. i had amazing sunset views every night.
3. Do you find moving house more exciting or stressful? Why?
stressful and exciting at the same time, cuz i have a TON of stuff and
packing/moving is never fun, but exciting cuz of all the new
possibilities of a new home! (the martha stewart in me really shines!
hahaha)
4. What's more important, location or price? location.
definitely. i'll figure out how to pay for it somehow, but if i can find
a great location, i'll make sacrifices!
5. What features does
your dream house have (pool, spa bath, big yard, etc.)? it must have a
large garage. i mean laaaaarge (enough to hold at least 10 cars). we
already have so many cars (and a sportbike), and parking on the street
isn't really an option. a nice back yard for BBQs would be nice too. and
lots of storage space. i wouldn't mind a lap pool someday, 2 or 3 lanes,
25 meters long...even starting blocks. that would be cool. i can think
of a lot more of these things, but i'll stop here. :)

friday morning, i had some errands to
run. on my way home, the freeway entrance was blocked, which was odd,
but while i crossed the freeway, i looked out, and saw a single file
line of cop cars, with their lights on, that just seemed endless. what a
sight...i really wished i had my camera. then i remembered what i heard
on the news that morning. an sfpd officer was gunned down last week, and
friday morning was his memorial and burial. it made me sad...but that
line of squad cars was so cool. there were cops from all over the bay,
california, washington and oregon, even as far away as new york. too bad
i don't have a picture to share.
so i don't go back to work til
thursday. and i've had no work since last wednesday. sheesh. it's great
and all, but it sucks having all this time off BY MYSELF. i need someone
to hang out with. actually, my mission today is to thoroughly clean out
our place. we have way too much junk here. that's my goal. well, not by
the end of today, that's kinda aiming too high. maybe by wednesday. :)

this was my first easter that i had to
work. i was actually excited. past easter's have been sheer chaos, with
a million ppl, more than half of them being children under 10. i didn't
have any plans with my parents, so it wasn't a big deal to work on
sunday. we had our big easter brunch in our ballroom, with 639 covers!!
holy crap! it went amazingly well. there was sooooo much great food (and
the most amazing dessert stations!)! someday i'll be able to afford to
have easter brunch there. i don't know if i'd bring my kids though.
would you pay $45 for brunch for a 6-year-old? crazy ppl. but then
again, when your baby is wearing a burberry jacket, i suppose $45 is
pocket change.

so our american idol loser, william hung,
is stretching out his 15 minutes. i think that's fantastic! he was in
the news again, with his half-time performance at last night's warrior's
game. some say he's being exploited, that ppl are using him to further
play on negative asian stereotypes, which i fully understand. but at the
same time, if these lame-o's are willing to pay money so this guy can
live out his dream to perform, i say stretch those 15 minutes for as
long as they're willing! i know i know, it's about keeping your dignity
blah blah blah. but shoot, $3500 to sing and dance for 10 minutes...are
you saying you wouldn't do it??? i would soooo do it. but then again, i
loooove me some karaoke... hahaha... :)

today our director of sales bought all
the coordinators 15-minute shoulder massages!! things are super slow, so
i picked up some much needed hours from my old dept, and they let me get
a massage too!! it was so great...but difficult to get back to work
after that!

i just finished stupid white
men and i don't know what to think. it was interesting. but i always
wonder how much to believe when michael moore speaks. it gave me a new
"insight" on the whole clinton/gore thing, and the whole gore vs. bush
jr. thing. it also made me realize that i may need to home-school our
children. seriously.

alright, so i'm all caught up with real
world san diego. i'm going nuts. luckily they called me into work
tomorrow. thank gawd!! i'm bored out of my mind. i think i'll go clean

saturday. kinda nice, but i think i'd rather work and get PAID. *sigh*
well, it's rather slow in the hotel this week and next. it's supposed to
pick up more in may, so hopefully these 2-3 work days end soon!
i think i've been getting too much sleep or something, i'm
really tired all the time, sleeping about 8 hours a night. i used to get
6.5-7, so my body must be confused as to why i'm sleeping so much!
hahaha... i think i need a nap.
