remind me not to make dinner plans after
work on the last day of the month ever again! holy smokes, the last day
of the month in a sales office is like a tornado. papers, work orders,
music agreements, purchase agreements everywhere!! fax machine and
outlook working overtime... but it was fun. :) and i get paid OT, which
is always a good thing. needless to say, had to flake out on J for
dinner plans, but turns out she was running late too. so all's well...

omg, it's so cool. it's cooler than i
remember it when we saw it last december. we preordered 3, hoping to
keep 2 and sell one, but it seems the sony ppl actually made more than
the demand, and there will be no problems finding them. oh well. i'd
keep all 3 if it weren't for the hefty pricetag...

the new sony psp!
but there will be no standing in long lines at metreon for us. we've
already ordered ours. :) hopefully we get them soon. only bad thing is,
i don't care for any of the games out right now. hrm. we'll see how that
goes.

last sunday we were in SF for a friend's
performance. she's a concert pianist, and her and her 2 sisters, who
play the violin and cello, have a trio. they're famous. seriously,
they've played with many symphony orchestras all over the world, and all
three are quite accomplished musicians. anyways, we went in to the city
early so i could stop by (well, go way out of our way) to the coffee
bean & tea leaf so i could get my english breakfast tea latte fix.
it was so delicious...i was in heaven. i bought some of the vanilla
powder so i can make my own.

was the only person, THE ONLY PERSON, in my entire office wearing green!

i'm currently knitting a sweater. now, i know it's spring
time just around the corner (even with this dreadful rain forecasted for
the weekend), but i have a serious knitting addiction, so i'm going to
knit, dammit. but this is no ordinary sweater...i'm imbedding hello
kitty's face on it. whee! i can't wait to see how it turns out! :) i
know...i have issues...

win...but i have to admit that he's pretty smart. or maybe smart is not
the best word to describe him. more like cunning, sly, basically he
knows how to "play the game." a definite advantage he learned from

it still hasn't quite hit me that i'm
working...it's really strange! i'm on my own now, but still not fully
comfortable without my trainer. there are just so many things to know,
it's hard to explain. but it's such a fun office, and perhaps that's why
it doesn't feel like work? altho actually waking up to my alarm clock is
definitely something i can do without.

first day on the job, and so far so good!
my boss is the most hilarious, middle-aged, gay man, and i totally love
him. i swear, i've never laughed so much at work! and everyone is like
that! maybe it's cuz i work in a sales office?? i dunno... today was my
first day of training. tomorrow is the monthly sales meeting, where we
have a meeting in the morning, lunch afterwards, and then we're all
going to the golfing range, the company's treat! what a great first
week! :)

it's so beautiful outside! sunny and
warm...it's supposed to be in the 70's all this week!
woohoo!!
anyone who really knows me knows i'm not a party-goer, i
hate clubs, i don't drink/smoke, i don't gamble, and i hate crowds. so
you can imagine how i feel about vegas. :P but this weekend was
fantastic, since we avoided most of that. j made it very clear that she
didn't want a bachelorette party, not even a bridal shower! but she
loves vegas (for the casinos, not the nightlife!), so vegas it was. the
highlights: shopping at the outlets (where i bought
a $9 burberry makeup bag!!), blue man
group, burger
bar (where we ate a very yummy chocolate dessert "burger"),
overloading on english breakfast lattes and cafe vanillas from the coffee bean & tea leaf
(gotta take advantage of having them all over vegas, since there is only
ONE in the entire bay area in a very out-of-the-way spot in SF! grr...)
and my personal favorite, the
spa... my masseuse was a former showgirl! only in vegas...
and now, my last day of housewifing. *sigh* i'm really looking
forward to tomorrow, i think this should be fun.

i love rediscovering old CDs. it's like
buying a new one, but without having to spend any money! lately, i've
been rediscovering harry connick jr's "she" album. he's so
talented...and his voice is so smooth...i wish i could play the piano
like him. it is on heavy rotation in my car these days. next i'll be
rediscovering his "star turtle" album. :)

after almost 5 months of being a
housewife, er, domestic enginner, i've decided to rejoin the workforce.
i've been casually looking here and there for the past couple months,
not really finding anything interesting. submitting resumes only to be
completely ignored (so rude, they can't at least call or email to let me
know they received it, but sorry, i'm not qualified? sheesh). then i
found a job on craig's list
that sounded interesting, and knowing full well i'd be competing with a
million other ppl, i went for it. and lucky me, i got it. i'm sad that
my days of housewifing are ending (very soon i might add, i start
wednesday!) but glad to be working again. and in perfect timing! this
weekend i'll be in vegas, and i'll have one final day to myself before
trying to remember what it's like to work! haha... so who am i working
for? check it out!
as far as
my little business venture? well, i still want to try that. i think
after i get settled in my new job, i'll try to find time to see what i
can do with that. but right now, making money is kind of a priority. so
many things on my wishlist...
