wow, i can't believe it's been over 2 weeks since my last post! where does the time go... things have been a bit hectic for us, work and such. i can't believe march has come and gone already.
so i wasn't surprised by the celebrity apprentice outcome last night, but i will say i was disappointed. i didn't know who trace adkins was before this show, but i just loved him, he was so mellow and likeable! piers made brits look like nasty, grumpy cut-throat slimebags. but i guess for business, he's the obvious choice?
well, i don't have much to write about, just wanted to keep this somewhat updated! i've had a long, rough day, so i think i'll go to bed now. *yawn*

this weekend starts off our NASA racing season. i have to admit, i don't know that i'm mentally ready for it! i feel like we just said good-bye to everyone! W is really excited because he's doing the competition school so he can get his comp license and really start racing. very exciting. a little nerve-wracking for me, since i work race control and hear and see everything that goes on on the track. i just really hope the weather is on our side this weekend, and we don't see any snow or rain that they say we might get (according to the weather guy, who i don't trust anyway).
this weekend is also the start of the 2008 formula1 season!!! i'm so excited...feels like forever since we watched the last race! goooooo kimi!!!

today was a very sad day in the P household. we said good-bye to our legacy, and watched as she left with another man (and wife and newborn).
:( back in november W brought up the idea of selling the sube, cuz when you think about it, we really don't need the car, and it was just another unnecessary expense. but he had felt bad about taking another car from me (remember, he took my integra to turn into his track/race car shortly after we moved to CO). so he left it up to me. i thought about it, and agreed that we should just sell it. unfortunately, winter was fast approaching, and washing and detailing a car in below freezing temperatures isn't very effective. so about a month ago we got it all cleaned up and ready to sell. it took awhile, but finally we got someone to buy it. he had owned the exact car except it was a 2006, and he had totalled it a couple weeks ago. so hopefully it's going to a nice, new owner, and he doesn't total another LGT. i'm sad to see her go, but happy to be saving about $700 a month (car payment, plus storage for another car that doesn't fit in the garage, plus insurance). :) and with my new commute to work, i've used less than 1/8 a tank of gas in a week. so if i can get it so we're only filling up once a month, we'll be saving even more money on gas! woohoo!!!

project runway finale is tonight...i really want jillian to win. rami is my #2. christian just really annoys me, so even if he was a fabulous designer, i still wouldn't want him to win.
a lot of ppl at work are crazy about idol, so it's hard not to get into it again (haven't watched since ruben won). my favorites are david archuleta (he's so adorable!), david cook and jason castro for the boys. the girls i don't like as much, but i do love ramiele and sayesha. i really hope luke and that chick with the cruela deville hair get cut this week. and the irish girl can go too.
we have american idol karaoke revolution, and the best part is the judges comments! hilarious.

we broke a record yesterday in Denver, with a high of 74 degrees! it was a beeee-u-tiful day, and i was determined to take advantage of it. but, with W's busy work schedule and his back still bothering him, i knew there wasn't a whole lot we could do. and plus, the hiking trails probably still had snow cover on them, since they're mostly at higher elevations.
first, i went into my new office to unpack a bit and test my computer. the space is very much like our old space at inverness, with REAL cubicles (i.e. high walls) and lots of storage space. the building is much nicer too, and we have a really nice cafeteria downstairs. it's just all around going to be a much better work environment. i like where i sit and the ppl i sit next to. i think we'll have a lot of fun.
after lunch at wahoo's (ourdoor seating), we decided to drive up to wash park to go for a nice walk. wash park is a very hip, trendy area that in the past decade or so has gone thru a major revitalization (like several other parts of denver in more recent years). the houses there are 100+ year old tudor-style, very cute (and very expensive). there's a huge park in the center of it all (washington park) that everyone seems to congregate in when the weather is nice. yesterday was no exception! we had a nice afternoon, walking around the park and just enjoying the warmth. it definitely felt like spring.
then this morning, we woke up to crazy winds and SNOW!!! this is crazy colorado weather for you. but after yesterday, i am most definitely ready for spring!! if only winter would just go away!
